Tyre hotel on Öland

A car on Öland swaps tyres twice a year. Winter tyres are required from 1 December to 31 March in winter conditions. The set that isn't on the car usually ends up in the garage or the shed.

In the tyre hotel your tyres sit dry and dark, not in a garage that is damp and cold in winter and warm in summer. No more carrying four wheels back and forth. At the swap we bring them out and fit them. When you drop the tyres off we check tread depth and damage, so you know in good time if they need replacing.

An estate often has bigger wheels and carries more than you think. Four complete wheels take up space and weigh quite a bit, especially when the shed is already full.

Leaving the wheels with us frees up space at home and saves you the lifting. Before each season we make sure you have the right load index for how you actually drive, just as with a regular tyre change.

An SUV often runs 19–21-inch alloys with low-profile tyres. The wheels are heavy, expensive and sensitive to knocks and scratches.

Big wheels are heavy to carry and easy to damage in a cramped garage. With us they are stored dry and dark. When we fit them, we check the sidewalls and set up the tyre-pressure sensors (TPMS) correctly.

A van is often a work vehicle. Every day it stands still costs money, and C-rated tyres are heavy to handle yourself.

With your tyres in the tyre hotel and a time booked ahead, the swap becomes a short stop, not half a day. We check the load index against the data plate before the tyres go on.
